Distinctive Systems Appoints New Managing Director and Expands Development Team

York, UK  – Distinctive Systems, the leading provider of management software for the coach, bus and tour operator industry, is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Whitehead as its new Managing Director. In addition, the company has expanded its development team with the recruitment of two senior developers.

Chris has more than 25 years of experience at Distinctive Systems, having joined the company in a support role before moving into software development following his graduation with a computing degree in 2001. Reflecting on his appointment, Chris said:

“I am extremely honoured to take on the role of Managing Director. My father, who sadly passed away earlier this year, built a business that we can all be proud of. It has grown from strength to strength every year and I am looking forwards to continuing this legacy.”

As Managing Director, Chris will oversee the company’s strategic direction, operations and future growth.

The announcement comes at an exciting time for Distinctive Systems as it accelerates development of its next-generation cloud-based system. To support this, the company has welcomed two new senior full-stack developers, bringing the cloud development team to five.

Chris added:

“I am extremely pleased to welcome both Greg and Edward to our development team, they both join as full-stack developers and their skills will play a key role in advancing our product roadmap.  They join an existing strong team committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions to our clients.”
