VMS & the DVSA Earned Recognition Pilot
Distinctive Systems has released a major update to our Vehicle Maintenance System that will allow interested operators to take part in the DVSA Earned Recognition pilot.
Working with the DVSA over the last year, we have refined and formalised many areas of VMS in order to help operators meet the level of compliance they need to not only achieve, but also demonstrate, if they are to gain Earned Recognition when, and if, the scheme goes live.
The update to VMS also includes a new structure for scheduling and recording brake test results. In addition, the functionality of our Tyre Management module has now been incorporated into VMS as standard.
In line with the update to VMS, our award winning Walk-around Check Mobile App has also been modified to meet the required level of compliance.
The DVSA is looking for operators who can demonstrate high standards of compliance to take part in the pilot. They need a variety of operators from large multi-vehicle companies to one vehicle operators.
You must also have:
- held an operator’s licence for at least 2 years
- had no regulatory action by a Traffic Commissioner for at least 2 years, other than warnings
- electronic management systems for maintenance* and drivers’ hours which can track your KPIs and report exceptions automatically
For further information and instructions on how to apply to take part in the pilot please click here. If your application is successful then you will need to install the updated version of VMS before you start to participate in the pilot.
* Distinctive Systems VMS is registered with the DVSA for participation in the pilot.
