Distinctive Systems was proud to stand side-by-side with our industry during the Motorcoaches Rolling for Awareness Event which took place on May 13th, 2020 in Washington DC. This event included over 1,000 buses from all 50 states, along with coaches representing the motorcoach manufacturers and suppliers to this industry. Distinctive Systems was honored to have partnered with our client Bailey Coach located in Pennsylvania, along with Team Coach Imaging and Monochem, to display our support for this important cause.
As the motorcoach industry represents 3,000 companies here in the US and over 100,000 jobs, our “ask” to Congress during this rally was for dedicated financial aid. This funding would ensure our companies remain viable to continue to support our communities during hurricanes, evacuations, relief work, military moves, field trips, and daily school and work travel. During the COVID crisis, the motorcoach industry was declared “essential” by the Department of Homeland Security but was the only transportation industry that received zero funding.

The Motorcoaches Rally for Awareness event highlighted what is best about our industry, which is the people. Coast to coast operators showed up to raise awareness, which included a 13-mile line of coaches heading into downtown DC. Bus companies brought food donations from their state to the local food pantries in DC and we lined the streets of DC in a professional fashion, during a peaceful and social distancing safe demonstration.
