The inaugural
Eurobus Expo
which took place on 7th - 9th November at the NEC was a massive
success with over 10,000 visitors from the UK and abroad attending
over the three days.
Business on the Distinctive Systems stand was brisk with several
major orders being received during the show, including one from as
far away as Kenya.
Interest in our new Microsoft SQL Server based online Tour Booking
System was very strong. Visitors were able to try the system out for
themselves on our two self-demonstration points connected via the
Internet to our server in York.

Chris Dudley of
Dudley's Coaches
in Inkberrow has won a weekend for two at the World famous ICEHOTEL.
The prize, sponsored by Distinctive Systems, was drawn at random
from the database of all visitors who pre-registered for
Eurobus Expo 2006.
Chris Dudley, a keen winter sports enthusiast commented "I just can't
believe it, I thought it had to be a joke when I was called to the
organiser's office. This is somewhere I've always wanted to go".
"I've known Chris for many years" said Distinctive Systems' MD Mike Whitehead,
"the prize could have gone to absolutely anyone, so naturally I'm thrilled it
went to one of our longstanding clients".
The
ICEHOTEL
is located 200 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle in Sweden.
Every winter for the last 16 years this magical hotel has been constructed out of the
purest ice and snow, only to disappear back into the river with the arrival of spring.
The prize includes a night in Stockholm, a night in the ICEHOTEL itself, a night in
the (considerably warmer) neighbouring Aurora Cottage, a snowmobile tour, a reindeer
safari and all flights.

is a cutting edge Internet marketing portal for tour operators that operate tours
or excursions by coach and aims to complement their own marketing activities and website.
The Door2Tour.com website is packed with information covering a wide selection of popular
UK and European tour and excursion destinations. Visitors can use the site to research the
types of destinations they are interested in and perhaps even learn about ones they never
knew existed.
Once they've made their choice, visitors can view the operators in their area that service
that destination and then link seamlessly to their chosen operator's website to make a booking.
To be included on the website operators must have a compatible online booking system. The TBS
